Teshmont performed a system planning study with the CEA to develop a long-range power plan for India. The study included:
- Analyzing the long-range electric power requirements for the next 10 year period
- Evaluating the generating capacity expansion program to meet the demand
- Planning of a 400 kV transmission network to transmit the power to the load centres and interconnect the existing State Electricity Board power systems
Teshmont also assessed the feasibility of utilizing HVDC for long distance bulk power transmission and back-to-back dc for interregional interconnections. |
