Operating Committee Biography Ralph Kurth, P. Eng., PMP Mr. Kurth has over 20 years of international and domestic experience in the engineering study and design of high voltage power transmission systems. Throughout his career, he has worked in the areas of project management, commissioning, design engineering, project estimating and scheduling, manpower forecasting, and software development. He has worked on the development of the company's quality and project management systems and practices and over many years has played a key role in Teshmont's marketing and strategic planning initiatives. Currently he is responsible for all aspects of the operation of Teshmont, reporting to a Board that represents the interests of the partners. Ralph is a registered engineer in the Provinces of Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, a member of the IEEE and is a certified PMI Project Management Professional. Dr. Robert S. Burton, P. Eng. Dr. Burton has over 40 years of experience in consulting and is the Vice President of the Power Systems Division at Teshmont. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the division embracing the planning, studies and HVDC departments. This includes business development and research responsibilities. He is an expert with an international reputation in power system planning and studies including development of transmission strategies for long range planning. Bob is the author of a number of IEEE and CIGRE papers and is a registered engineer in the Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, and the states of Arizona and Minnesota. Roy Vallance, P. Eng. Mr. Vallance's career spans over 40 years in the areas of design, management and administration of construction of HVAC substations, HVDC converter stations, submarine cables, and electrical distribution projects. Mr. Vallance is the Vice President of the Engineering Design Division at Teshmont and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company associated with the substation design, substation automation design, transmission line design and drafting departments. He is closely involved in the successful delivery of projects and in business development activities. Roy is a member of the IEEE, and is a registered engineer in the Province of Manitoba . Robert B. Baker, P.Eng Mr. Baker has over 20 years of experience in deregulated power system process and policy development, project management, transmission system planning, system engineering, load forecasting, transmission system operations, system disturbance process development and analysis, and generation and resource planning. Brian Benediktson, CMA Mr. Benediktson has over 35 years of experience in accounting and finance in the Teshmont organization. He is responsible for the accounting, finance, risk management, contract administration, human resource, office administration and corporate secretarial functions at Teshmont. Jade Ewasiuk, P.Eng. Mr. Ewasiuk brings to the position of Operations Manager over 25 years of experience in high-voltage transmission and generation. He has managed several large-scale projects, among them gas turbine plant construction, HVDC modernization, and major hydraulic generating station rehabilitation. His extensive experience successfully managing large and complex projects makes him ideally suited to implement and monitor Teshmont's project management and quality control policies, procedures, and support systems. Robyn Page, P. Eng. PMP Ms. Page has over 10 years of experience with submarine cables, transformer engineering and inspection, and system studies. She is the Marketing Manager at Teshmont and assists with business development, proposal preparation, and marketing material creation. Robyn is Chairperson of the IEEE PES HVDC & FACTS Subcommittee. In 2007, she was President of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba (APEGM).
